I had a great time at Hotel Niseko Alpen, especially due to its prime location right next to the ski lifts and rental shops. The breakfast was delicious and offered plenty of variety, though I found the beds a bit too firm for my liking. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making my stay enjoyable overall. However, I would recommend booking a renovated room to avoid the uncomfortable bedding experience.

Rooms

The rooms were clean but on the smaller side, which is typical for Japanese hotel standards. I made sure to request a renovated room, as the older ones had beds that felt like concrete.
Service

The staff were lovely and eager to assist, but I had a minor issue when I requested a late check-out. They were not very flexible, which was disappointing given the hotel's low occupancy during my stay.
Location

The location could not be better for skiers! It’s just a short walk from the ski lockers to the chair lift, and surrounded by dining options and a convenience store.

Breakfast was fantastic, with a great selection of both Japanese and Western options, including made-to-order omelettes. Just keep in mind that it ends early at 9am, so plan accordingly.

The onsen was amazing, and the heated pool was a nice perk after a day on the slopes. Plus, having ski storage right by the entrance made everything very convenient.

My stay at Hotel Niseko Alpen was wonderful, thanks to its unbeatable location right next to the ski lifts and bus stops. The staff was friendly and eager to assist, while the breakfast buffet was one of the best I've experienced. However, I found the rooms a bit dated and could use some renovation, especially the bedding, which was not very comfortable. Overall, it's a great place for a short ski trip.

Rooms

The rooms were clean and spacious enough for my needs, but they felt dated and the bedding was quite hard. I definitely recommend asking for a renovated room for a better night's sleep.
Service

The service was excellent. The staff helped with everything from luggage handling to giving directions. They even arranged for crutches when needed, which made a big difference during my stay.

The location is fantastic! Just a minute's walk to the ski lift and right across from the bus stop. I couldn’t have asked for better access to the slopes and surrounding areas.
Dining

The breakfast buffet was massive and offered a great variety of both Japanese and Western foods. It was a highlight of my stay, although the other dining options felt somewhat limited after a few days.
Facilities

The facilities were good, with a nice onsen and a heated pool. I appreciated the convenience of having a ski shop and ticket office right at the hotel, making it easy to grab what I needed.

I had a great stay at Hotel Niseko Alpen with its perfect location right next to the ski lift. The amenities were impressive, especially the onsen and pool, but the rooms were quite standard and not particularly comfortable. I did have an issue with the bedding, as the beds were quite firm. Overall, the experience was good enough for a short stay.

5.8/10

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Niseko Alpen largely due to its unbeatable location right by the ski lifts. The newly renovated room I stayed in was spacious and well laid out, making it comfortable for my family. However, I found the onsen to be small and quite crowded, which detracted from the overall experience. The breakfast selection was generous but could be repetitive after a few days.

The newly renovated room was spacious and well laid out, perfect for my family. It was comfortable and had all the usual amenities.

The location is great, just across from the Welcome Center and right by the lift stations, making it ideal for skiing. I loved being able to ski-in and ski-out.
Dining

Breakfast had enough choices to satisfy, but I found it a bit rushed since it finishes at 9 am. After a while, the options felt a bit repetitive.

The onsen was quite small and crowded, taking in outside guests, which made it hard to relax. It needs better maintenance and control.

I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Niseko Alpen, but there were some drawbacks. The location is fantastic, just steps away from the slopes, making it perfect for skiing. However, the hotel seems a bit run-down, and I wish the rooms had better amenities. The breakfast buffet was quite generous, especially the made-to-order omelettes, but I felt there could have been more variety for European tastes. Overall, it’s a decent choice for skiers but might not impress in the off-season. 😊⛷️

Rooms

The spacious 2-bedroom suite was nice, but lacked sufficient seating, only having one stool. The decor felt standard and a bit dated for the price I paid.
Service
8.0
The staff were very helpful and kindly arranged a transfer to the bus center for me. Their friendliness made my stay more enjoyable.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is unbeatable, directly across from the base lift of Grand Hirafu, making it incredibly convenient for skiing. I could easily access discounted lift passes and rentals.
Dining
7.0
I loved the breakfast buffet, particularly the salmon and made-to-order omelettes. However, I felt it lacked variety for European tourists, offering mostly Japanese and healthier options.
Facilities
6.0
The onsen is small with two pools, and it can get crowded since outside guests are allowed. It needs better management to keep up with cleanliness.
